June – Excellent King Salmon, Halibut and Rockfish. End of month starts the pink salmon run.
July – King Salmon, Halibut, Pink Salmon, Lingcod, Yellow Eye, various species of Rock fish. Beginning of Silver Salmon (Coho) run
August – Excellent all around fishing. Halibut, Salmon, Lingcod, Yellow Eye, various species of Rock Fish. The Silver (Coho) have grown in size, making for a good fight and a heavy daily catch.Every month is a great month for delicious Dungeness crab and tender succulent giant sized shrimp. (several varieties)NO COMBAT FISHING HERE. We primarily fish on the edge of the Dixon Entrance to the Inside Passage. Your short 45 minute ride to our envied fishing area is on inside water and is one of the shortest ride times to the fish in the Ketchikan area. This assures more quality fishing time. Anglers from resorts and charters in the Ketchikan area travel as many as two hours to fish. At times we share the waters with commercial fishermen and it is a well known fact that they go where the fish go. Other than the occasional commercial boats, our guests are the only sport fishers in the area. Our fish counts are among the highest per person.Come help us set new king salmon and halibut records.
